As a result it has removed Milbona Fruit Yoghurt (eight-pack) and Alesto Honey Peanuts from its United Kingdom supermarket shelves.

The supermarket chain Lidl is recalling honey roasted peanuts sold in its United Kingdom stores because the word “peanut” in English is missing from the ingredients list on the back of some packets.

Lidl is recalling one of its products – and the reason why is absolutely nuts!

“Lidl UK is recalling Alesto Honey Peanuts, 200g, Best Before Date 02.2017 only, due to peanuts not being declared in English on a small number of packets”.

The product contains peanut which is not mentioned on the label in English. “This batch may be a risk to consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of peanut or its constituents”.

Instead, return it to the store from where you bought it for a full refund.

Lidl has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
