Bajaj Auto reveals new V brand and commuter motorcycle
Sales of the bike would commence from March and the final pricing would be announced at that time. The company says it will focus all capacity in maximising returns on this market segment and will not export the Bajaj V for now since the focus is to consolidate the new bike in India first. The company will roll out 20,000 units of the V in the initial months for the domestic market. In order to compete against 125cc commuter bikes company has plans to competitively price around Rs 58,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Most probably it would be closer to Rs 60,000 than Rs 70,000.

It is expected to start a series just like its other products.
However the company said that it could produce some “lakh” units of the bike. The V15 looks a cross between styling of a typical café racer and touring bikes.
By revealing its all-new 150cc motorcycle – the Bajaj V – the Pune-based motorcycle manufacturer’s latest product has taken centre-stage and is the first two-wheeler big-ticket launch in the build up to the Auto Expo 2016 which opens later this week.

The metal of INS Vikrant has been bought, melted, purified and shaped by us to be an intrinsic part of the V. It is not disclosed by the company the extent of such metal used for manufacturing the V15. After decades of distinguished service and playing a pivotal role in the blockade of East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) during the Indo-Pak war of 1971, the warship was decommissioned in 1997. Key design elements include INS Vikrant badge, 5-twin spoke alloys, premium texture material, removable rear cowl, LED tail-lamp, bold graphics, premium instrument panel with color changing LEDs, pumped up fuel tank, ergonomic handlebars for wide open chest feeling.
