As Nathan Adrian touched the wall to finish off the victory, Phelps gathered the other relay swimmers, Ryan Murphy and Cody Miller, in his arms.
“When I made a decision to come back I wanted to do it the right way”, he said.
Phelps says he plans to keep swimming, but only for exercise. “This is the cherry that I wanted to put on the top of the cake”, Phelps told a press conference on Sunday. RIO DE JANEIRO-Swimmer Ryan Lochte and three of his USA teammates were robbed early Sunday morning after their taxi was stopped by “individuals posing as armed police officers”, a spokesman for the United States Olympic Committee said.

Ranomi Kromowidjojo, the 2012 Olympic champion from the Netherlands, finished sixth while Australia’s Campbell sisters Cate and Bronte again failed to win medals in an individual sprint.
