Ballance back in England squad, Anderson out injured
Anderson bowled in the nets during Lancashire’s recent draw with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in the County Championship, and reported no ill effects.

That century at Scarborough was made against a Middlesex attack including right-armer Roland-Jones, who has taken 30 wickets in the County Championship this season.
Roland-Jones will be in the Middlesex squad when they host Glamorgan at Richmond Cricket Club’s Old Deer Park home on Friday (5:30pm start).
England and Pakistan are set to play their first Test on English soil since the 2010 spot-fixing scandal when they meet at Lord’s on Thursday.

England captain Alastair Cook admitted Roland-Jones’ selection had been spoken about for a few weeks before he finally got the nod following the Anderson injury. “Club cricket there (in Swabi) is very good – Junaid Khan (another of Pakistan’s left-arm pace bowlers, who has played 22 Tests) is from Swabi”.
