Lawmakers in the session of the Balochistan Assembly on Saturday unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the statements of the MQM chief Altaf Hussain against Pakistan and Indian prime minister Narendra Modi over Balochistan and demanded the federal government to take up the issue of Modi’s statement with the United Nations and worldwide community.

The Baloch Republican Party held a protest in the German city of Leipzig on Saturday after Brahumdagh Bugti, the party’s president, claimed that the Pakistan government has unleashed a “tsunami of human rights violations” upon the people of Balochistan.

Asserting that Baloch people do not want to live with Pakistan anymore, Bugti demanded a referendum under the supervision of the United Nations. “We believe that India should have taken this step a long time ago”, he said, adding that he is convinced about Balochistan freedom.

“Our protest is for the people of Balochistan and for the human rights violation happening in Pakistan by the Pakistani state”, said a protestor.

Mr Bugti said PM Modi’s recent remarks during his Independence Day is the “most powerful statement” in the last seven decades.

The lawmakers in the session of the Balochistan Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution, condemning statement of Indian Prime Minister, Narendar Modi over Balochistan and demanded of the federal government to take up the issue of statement with the United Nations and global community.

PM Narendra Modi in his Independence speech had said, “The people of Balochistan, the people of Gilgit, the people of Pak-occupied Kashmir have thanked me in such a manner, from places that I have never been and never had a chance to meet, they have sent wishes to the people of India and thanked us”, Modi said. We are not fools to try our luck again and again with Pakistan.

Stating that his immediate course of action would be to create awareness in the worldwide community, Mr. Bugti, at the same time, also called for military assistance from all countries to be given for the freedom struggle of the Baloch people. We want to request India and other countries to help Balochistan.
