The interview – which was telecast on Saturday night on Doordarshan News – took place in Geneva and assumes significance as India had recently expressed concerns over human rights violations by the Pakistan military in Balochistan.

“All the three countries could be badly derailed from their current facts of economic and social development”.

Following other Baloch nationalists, Afghanistan and Bangladeshi leaders, he welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “brave and long-awaited” comments on the plight of Baloch people in Pakistan.

“Modi’s statement about Balochistan has proved that terrorism in the province was clearly sponsored by India”, the resolution said. But what kind of forms I have no idea. India is getting more and more involved.

He also said China is unlikely to change its policy in South Asia.

Ever since, PM Modi, in his Independence Day speech, came out openly in support of “freedom” for Balochistan and “Pakistan-occupied Kashmir”, Islamabad has resorted to more brutal force to silence the locals.

Accepting that it was a mistake on their part that for the last 50 years they tried to be a part of Pakistan to live with equality, Bugti said that we have decided that we can not live with Pakistan forcefully.

He said that the present government had also made rosy promises to the Balochistan.

A Baloch leader, who has been in self-exile in Wales, has called for India’s cooperation to help tackle the persisting issues of his tribe in the restive Pakistan region.

Pakistanis are trying to suffocate the freedom struggle of Balochistan by continuing pogrom – murders, abductions, disappearances and rapes.

“It is quite open”.

There have been several incidents of protests against the Pakistani establishment for violation of human rights in Balochistan.

India has strongly opposed the corridor as it will pass through Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which it claims as its own.

During his hard times, Pakistan in general and province of Balochistan in particular had hosted Karzai and his family as Afghan refugee for years. One of the clause clearly stated that if Pakistan and India finally reach agreement on Kashmir issue then the treaty would be accordingly amended.

The demonstrations were held in Dusseldorf Berlin and Munich on August 30 which is also marked as “The International Day of the victims of the enforced disappearance” by the Baloch people
