“Baltimore Batman” Lenny Robinson Killed Near Hagerstown
51 year old Lenny B. Robinson, also known as the “Route 29 Batman“, served as an inspiration to us all, and this writer thinks he deserves more recognition. He used the proceeds to buy a Lamborghini, which he modified to resemble a Batmobile. But Robinson would walk into nearly any pediatric ward in the Baltimore and Washington, DC areas, and little children with chemo pumps and no hair would get hugs and high fives.

Hundreds gathered to remember Leonard B. Robinson, the Baltimore Batman who once told a young boy named Jacob that he’d always be there for him after helping the child overcome a bullying situation-just the kind of thing you’d expect from Batman at his best.
According to his website, superheroesforkids.org, Robinson is a self-made businessman through a recently sold cleaning business that he started when he was still a teenager. The Camry’s driver, a 39-year-old man from Charlottesville, Virginia, wasn’t hurt and also hasn’t been charged.
Hope For Henry, a charity for children battling cancer, was often the beneficiary of Robinson’s generosity. “That’s all he wanted to do”.
Robinson had been pulled over in 2012 by state troopers, reportedly for driving without tags, and became an internet sensation after video of the incident went viral.
Yuri Ozeryan, an amateur filmmaker who followed Robinson in 2012 for a now-stalled documentary, said Robinson joked that he had “bat senses”, his way of describing a willingness earlier in life to defend people – even with his fists.
Batman became famous three years ago after he was pulled over by Montgomery County police on Route 29 in a black Lamborghini and full superhero garb.
As Reilly Brown continues to undergo surgery after surgery to lengthen his limbs, he’s had a super hero friend by his side. He and other officers, once they found out what Robinson was on his way to do, shook his hand and took photos with him.
His funeral was filled with supporters and costumed admirers showing their appreciation for all he had done.
Robinson worked closely with Hope for Henry, a D.C. organization that helps sick children. The group had simply completed producing a video about this system. He has leukemia. He’s ready outdoors a hospital.
“He was magic”, Strongin said.

“He would come into the hospital and transform the place”, she said.
