A Checkers employee was reportedly terminated after a video showed how he wiped the floor with a burger bun that was still used to prepare the fast food chain’s burger.
Checkers is responding to an Internet video that has racked up more than a half-million streams on YouTube.
In the video, an unidentified employee drops the bun on the ground and rubs it on the tiled floor. Malcolm said the company is conducting its own investigation and is “exploring all of our options” which can not be anything but bad news for the workers who did this. She also said in the statement released on Wednesday, “I, like you, am appalled and disappointed by what I saw in that video”. “She confirmed that she and her friends were playing in the kitchen and that the product was never served to guests”.
According to KHOU, the video was posted to the company’s Facebook page prior to them commenting on the situation.
She adds that the employees were just goofing around when the video was filmed.
