A mother who was widely praised after she was caught disciplining her son on video for taking part in the Baltimore riots previous year said Monday that her family is now homeless after an accidental fire. Now, she faces a new battle, one that could leave her family of six homeless.
‘When I got back, there was smoke and fire coming from the pan, ‘ he told WBFF.
‘I could see them [firemen] through the third-floor window. It was a mess’.
He called 911 and firefighters put out the blaze, which destroyed the home.

Breaking down in tears, Toya Graham said she doesn’t blame her son, but said she is angry. “You try to hold on, you try to do everything, you try to be strong for your children”.
Michael says he was warming up a pot of cooking oil when he left for just a few minutes to go to the bathroom just off the kitchen.
The kitchen to the home where Toya and her family of six have lived since April caught fire Saturday afternoon while her son, Michael, who is now home from Job Corps, was cooking.
Aggravating matters is the fact that the single mother, who lived in the home with her kids and granddaughter, has no renter’s insurance. “You try, but this is a lot”. ‘Now, it’s like, what we’re going to do now?’
The family is now staying at a hotel on Route 40 while they want for a contractor to fix up the home and restore electric services, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Toya and her family have set up a GoFundMe page to help with housing and the loss of food and household items during the fire. So far, more than 60 people have raised almost $2,000 for the family in less than 16 hours.

And then there were these responses on social media below that made me wonder as well… I feel bad for her but everyone in this situation doesn’t get news time.
