Baltimore Ravens Without Joe Flacco Will Pick First in the Draft
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, suffered in Sunday’s win against the St. Louis Rams.

The St. Louis Rams have all but completed their collapse after a promising start to the 2015 season with yesterday’s 13-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
A Rams lineman tried to immediately scoop up his quarterback, to little effect.
It’s been this kind of season for the Baltimore Ravens: Even when they win, they lose.
The Monday night game will snap a streak of 122 straight regular season starts for Flacco since he was selected in the first round of 2008 draft.
DENVER DEBATE: So now that Brock Osweiler finally got a chance to start a game in the pros, and managed to avoid a turnover while throwing for a couple of TDs in Denver’s 17-15 victory at Chicago, let the debate begin: Will Peyton Manning play again for the Broncos? “We just made mistakes and they got us”. Regardless of whether he was concussed or not, and it sure looked like he was, Keenum should have been taken out of the game. Veteran quarterback Matt Schaub, who had his fair share of success under center for the Houston Texans, will step in, but, considering how his career has quickly deteriorated over the past few seasons, it is highly unlikely that he will be able to carry this depleted Baltimore squad into the postseason.
Forsett rushed for 121 yards and a 5.8-yard average in the overtime loss to the Browns, despite sitting out the goal-line situation at the end of regulation and the overtime period. “I think the wind was anywhere from 12-20 miles per hour at any given time”.
George Atallah, the NFLPA assistant executive director of external affairs, confirmed Monday the NFLPA is reviewing the concussion protocol in the Keenum incident. Is it time for Fisher to go or give him more time? Welker also returned a punt for 10 yards as the Ravens tried to stay away from Tavon Austin. Flacco finished with 27 of 44 for 299 yards and a touchdown, but it was his two interceptions that crippled them during promising drives. Keenum and Gurley failed to execute a handoff, resulting in a Baltimore fumble recovery. His replacement, rookie Javorius Allen, ran for 67 yards and caught five passes for 48 yards in place of Forsett against the Rams. The league can crow about player safety all it wants, but the bottom line is it knows scenes like Keenum’s are bad for business.

And there was this: A 49-yard penalty for pass interference against cornerback Jimmy Smith led to a 1-yard touchdown run for Gurley and a 7-0 lead. Team medical staffs are shown on national television every week examining downed players, creating the illusion that the doctors are on top of every head injury after a big hit, but that just provides a false “feel-good” sense of security for fans.
