Masakadza said that his job to play his part well and he will keep on doing that, and whenever he gets support from any other batsman, they will make sure that they win the match for their side by staying on the wicket for as long as possible. An unchanged Bangladesh opted to bat in the second T20I against Zimbabwe in Khulna at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium even as the visitors made three changes to their line-up.

Zimbabwe’s experienced duo of Hamilton Masakadza and Vusi Sibanda starting superbly with the bat but the likes of Elton Chigumbura, Sikandar Raza and Malcolm Waller were unable to capitalise on the 101-run opening stand. Zimbabwe will also be unhappy with their fielding effort, with Sibanda dropping Sabbir Rahman at a crucial stage. Tendai Chisoro and Chamu Chibhabha could not find a place in the XI.

Sabbir and Mushfiqur Rahim (24) upped the run-rate with a stand of 52 until the latter retired hurt after suffering with apparent cramp.

Zimbabwe’s reply was almost a mirror image of Bangladesh’s first half, until Sabbir came along to seal a victory that gave Bangladesh a 2-0 lead in the series. Zimbabwean pace bowlers bowled much better in the slog overs while the spinners kept things tight in the middle overs. So I thought it was more of the batting side than the bowling side”, Masakadza said, according to ESPN Cricinfo. The right-hander failed to kick on after making 30 off 28 balls.

Sean Williams (7) and Richmond Mutumbami (7) went back in successive overs off Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury and Sabbir Rahman to slip to 69 for 4 in the 11th over.

Sibanda’s dismissal stemmed the run flow for Zimbabwe, which faltered near the end, losing five wickets for only 31 runs in the last five overs. Mustafizur Rahman finished with two wickets while Rahman bowled a brilliant spell of 3/11 for the home side.
