The latest work by controversial street artist Banksy takes a swipe at the French authorities over their handling of the migrant crisis in Calais.

The painting, on a wall opposite the French Embassy in London, shows a girl from the musical “Les Miserables” crying with a CS tear gas canister beside her.
In January, Banksy noted the fact that Apple, one of the largest publicly-listed companies in the world, only existed because the USA “allowed in a young man from Homs” – the father of Steve Jobs – with a mural on the tunnel walls in a refugee camp depicting Jobs as a migrant.
“We’re often led to believe migration is a drain on the country’s resources but Steve Jobs was the son of a Syrian migrant”, the statement said.
A new interactive mural by cult graffiti artist Banksy popped up in London Monday morning – but good luck getting a look.
The developers of the site have said that they will preserve the artwork.
“I heard about it on Twitter this morning”, said Jason Illagan, 32, who came to see the mural on his lunch break.
‘The work is incredible. I think the most powerful thing for me is I’m a lover of musicals and to use such such a powerful image of France is just attractive.
Meanwhile, Londoners have reacted with excitement to Banksy’s latest creation. Artwork by the renowned Graffiti artist Banksy is seen on the side of building on Frog Lane in Bristol.
The video above shows workers trying to remove the artwork, abandoning the attempt after reportedly fearing that using a crowbar would harm it.
“And opposite the French Embassy, it sends a strong message”. “I saw pictures of it online”.

Banksy’s works can be worth hundreds of thousands of euros (dollars).
