Banned GTA 5 players could make a return online thanks to exploit
A new PC exploit may enable banned players to return to GTA Online anonymously. Thanks to the reintroduction of temporary characters players can now subvert bans and cheat, troll and cause mischief to their hearts content.

Since the Freemode events will periodically trigger while playing in the open-world lobby of GTA Online for those who aren’t nowadays engaged inside a mission or competitive match, Rockstar Games reminds those wanting to join in on the new activities to keep their supplies stocked.
The exploit is founded in Rockstar’s fix for a repeating issue that had players losing their characters, cars and more.
Back on the original console versions of GTA V, “Temporary Characters” were introduced for GTA Online: characters you could use instead of your saved character when Rockstar was having massive server problems.
Players struggled against those using cash exploits, invincibility, invisibility and more, ruining the game experience for many.
Rockstar has been setting an example for rule-breaking players by dropping the ban hammer over and over since Grand Theft Auto 5’s PC launch.
If Rockstar was to fix such an online cheat with an update, modders could still revert to a previous version and play online with others exploiting the game.
Debug the online service and test out various scripts and modding tools without being penalized. Should we ignore their stupid antics, or work harder to find and ban them?
Interestingly enough, Rockstar North’s Leslie Benzies has indicated that they would like to present a larger world inside a “Grand Theft Auto” game in the future, but whether or not that becomes a reality with “Grand Theft Auto 6” is still up in the air.

It may be inevitable that a popular online game will see its share of modding and cheating, but it’s never welcomed by those wanting to play a game clean, free from griefing and, for want of a better word, douchebaggery.
