Barack Obama: Clinton will be ‘most qualified’ candidate ever

“I’m ready to pass the baton and do my part as a private citizen, so this year in this election, I’m asking you to join me to reject cynicism and reject fear and to summon what is best in us to elect Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States and show the world we still believe in the promise of this great nation”, Obama offered at the end of the speech. “She’s been caricatured by the right and by some folks on the left; accused of everything you can imagine – and some things you can’t”. “I thought it would be cool to see a whole sea of Bernie supporters”.

She said: “It comes down to what Donald Trump doesn’t get, that America is great because America is good”. “Hillary Clinton knows that this moment is not just about one woman’s achievement”.

Trump, who has never held public office, offered his critics fresh lines of attack on Wednesday, urging Russian Federation to find and release tens of thousands of emails that Clinton did not hand over to USA officials as part of a probe into her use of a private email system while she was secretary of state.

If the incumbent is – in Biden’s words, “one of the finest presidents” ever – then why do we need big change?

Those people, he said, really can’t be reasoned with or wooed to Team Hillary.

“She has a genuine strength that differs profoundly from her opponent’s bluster”.

“Ronald Reagan called America “a shining city on a hill, ‘” Obama said”.

“He wants to divide us from the rest of the world and from each other”, Clinton said, mocking Trump’s claim that he alone can “fix” the country.

On Friday, WikiLeaks published internal emails from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) that suggested DNC officials plotted ways to undermine Sanders’s campaign and looked to boost Clinton.

Clinton also has the hard task of trying to reintroduce herself, a daunting task for someone who has been in the national public eye for more than two decades.

He urged Democrats to enable Clinton to finish the job he started with his election almost eight years ago in a rousing speech that capped a night when party luminaries took to the stage to contrast the party’s new standard-bearer with Trump, whom they portrayed as a threat to USA values.

According to Senator Claire McCaskill, Clinton has the intelligence and the work ethic. “He calls himself a business guy, which is true, but I have to say, I know plenty of businessmen and women who’ve achieved success without leaving a trail of lawsuits and unpaid workers and people feeling like they got cheated”.

“This is a more fundamental choice”, he said. The America I know is decent and generous. “She tweeted:”#crookedHillary doesn’t understand that there is only ONE President not a village of Presidents.

But she doesn’t back down. Track Laura Anthony on Facebook here and follow her Twitter here. And she sure as heck doesn’t quit.

In a message to his 10.4million followers he said: “Hillary’s refusal to mention Radical Islam, as she pushes a 550 per cent increase in refugees, is more proof that she is unfit to lead the country”.
