Barbara Bush ‘seems’ to endorse Jeb

As businessman Donald Trump began dominating national polls, Bush kept on slipping and has landed, so far, in fifth place with just 4.8 percent of support among projected voters, according to Real Clear Politics.

Former First Lady Bush famously expressed some hesitance of her own…months before her son announced, she famously said back in 2013 that “we’ve had enough Bushes”. Marco Rubio (R-FL) argued that attack ads coming from his opponent former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) show “an air of desperation”.

Heilemann was discussing a new ad released this week by the Bush campaign featuring the candidate’s mother.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) – Ted Cruz once proudly wore a belt buckle borrowed from George H.W. Bush that said: “President of the United States”.

Coming soon to the campaign trail: The Bush family.

Barbara Bush’s hand-written letter is being distributed to voters in Iowa, New Hampshire and SC.

In a newly released web video, the deeply popular Bush appears testifies to her second son’s professional and personal qualifications. “I admit to being prejudiced as I am his mother”, says the letter.

The family topic isn’t new for Bush, who has confronted the issue of his pedigree since the start of his campaign. “I don’t think she was prepared to endorse anyone else”, he quipped.

The Bush family has been a complicating factor throughout Jeb Bush’s candidacy, bringing him the advantages of an established political name and the vast network to match it, but making it hard for him to define himself apart from his father’s and brother’s White House legacies.

“I am writing to urge you to vote and to vote for Jeb Bush”. Bush, in turn, has called Trump a “jerk” with a propensity for alienating virtually everyone.

“I’m not running away from my brother or my dad but I know for a fact I’m going to have to win this because I’m running for president, and people need to have confidence that I have the skills to lead”, he said.

The Kentucky senator, whose campaign is struggling to gain traction, also said that Rubio, Bush and other Republicans are eroding Americans’ civil liberties in the fight against terror.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about”, he said, smiling.
