Barbra Streisand Asked Apple to Fix Her Siri Name Pronunciation

While we join Barbra to await the newly updated Siri’s response next month, might we suggest some of these folks also pick up the phone and get Cook on the line?

“She pronounces my name wrong”, Streisand told NPR’s Weekend Edition. The entertain said she has been saying her last name like that for her “whole career”.

“And so what did I do? So let’s see if that happens, because I would be thrilled”. So she made a decision to call Apple’s CEO.

Iconic singer Barbra Streisand pulled a ‘Don’t you know who I am?’ with Apple’s virtual assistant Siri.

In 2014, Streisand created United States chart history by becoming the first artist to score number one albums in each of the last six decades. Apple is expected to release iOS 10 to the public 2 weeks prior to that, so the company may already have a small update planned soon after the new software’s initial release.

‘Barbra Streizzzand, ‘ Siri replied, oblivious that she was saying it in front of the singer herself.

Streisand is on a tour for her new album “Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway” with guests such as Alec Baldwin and Anne Hathaway.

While it may seem insane that Siri bothered her enough to make her do something about it- people only use the bot so often- it’s not that out of character.

So while most us don’t have such inside access, this hints that if you do find a mistake involving someone well known, Apple might just listen a little more closely. She claims to have given Cook a ring about how Siri pronounces her name, and with it appears to have given away the date iOS 10 will be arriving.
