Barbra Streisand called Tim Cook because Siri mispronounces her name
According to NPR’s Scott Simon, the singer-actress told him that Siri pronounces her name wrong.

The multitalented EGOT victor has personally approached Apple CEO Tim Cook asking that the computerized intelligent personal assistant Siri be programmed to pronounce her surname correctly; Streisand, as she clarified for Cook, has a soft “s” in both its syllables; the change is due to take effect in September. And fair enough, no triple threat should have to suffer like this, come on now. “Streisand is with a soft “s”.
Streisand has also enjoyed an illustrious film career which began with 1968’s Funny Girl, for which she won an Oscar.
“And so what did I do?” She adds, “So let’s see if that happens, because I will be thrilled!” “Siri” which was made first available by Apple in iPhone 4S back in 2011 and has expanded exponentially and advancement in reliability when compared to the current one in iPhone 6S. In a direct phone call with Apple’s CEO, Streisand addressed the issue that has been causing her grief for years. You and I might not be the kind of people to get Apple CEO Tim Cook on the phone but she certainly is. It is possible that Streisand got the date mixed up, or that Cook was talking about a subsequent update to iOS 10.0.1 that might be scheduled for September 30th.
Even experienced users often lose patience while trying to cope with the virtual personal assistant Siri. The second thing is that the September 30 date could just be another update to the iOS 10 which would hopefully be released when the iPhone 7 is revealed too.
“Barbra Streizzzand”, Siri replied in front of Streisand.

Those of us with hard last names are accustomed to quietly bearing the indignities of constant mispronunciation, especially from digital assistant programs like Apple’s Siri.
