Barbra Streisand urges Apple boss to change pronunciation of her name
Siri will apparently soon say “Streisand” without pronouncing the second “s” hard, like a “z”.

The emphasis on the second s of her surname with a z, rather than an s (it should be StreiSand, not StreiZand), prompted a call directly to Apple chief Tim Cook she told the United States public radio station NPR over the weekend.
Stereogum reports Streisand corrected it, saying “Streisand with a soft s, like sand on the beach”. Ive been saying this for my whole career.
Rather than sit back and let it stay mispronounced, Streisand used her clout to fix the problem and have Siri reprogrammed.
In a recent interview on NPR, the singer revealed that she contacted Apple CEO Tim Cook to get the pronunciation of her name fixed on Siri – and he agreed to do it.
“So lets see if that happens because I will be thrilled”.
Barbra admits she really enjoyed singing Climb Every Mountain with Foxx, explaining, “A great song for me is one I can act, that I can go into character for”.

Swift said she wouldn’t make her album 1989 available on the streaming service after Apple announced it would not pay artists royalties during it’s free three-month trial for users.
