Barclaycard Favors Android Pay Over Apple Pay In The UK
Google has commenced the rollout of Android Pay in the United States.

The Barclays service supports the usual £30 cap imposed on NFC payments on Android Pay, but Barclays has tossed in some additional benefits for customers. While there are signs that fingerprint scanning-based authentication is on the way via the forthcoming Android Marshmallow OS, at the moment Google is content to rely on tokenization of payment information as its primary security measure. According to a company announcement, the system provides a secure payment service on Android phones and also stores gift cards, loyalty cards and special offers on phones.
With nearly 50 million downloads in Google Play Store, Wikipedia for Android has just received a major update that brings new features and improvements. More than half of TMG’s clients have projects under way with Apple Pay.
In a move to compete against Apple Pay, Google is revamping its mobile payment system.
