It was reported that the pig was rescued from the slaughterhouse as the owner Emily wanted to have a micro pig with them, and was due to buy one from a breeder but she cancelled the deal.
She then managed to convince a farmer of meat farm to buy a piglet from his farm for $100.
The pig, named Fella, was then brought to home to live with their three small terrier dogs.
Fella celebrated first birthday this week.
