Baseball is helping U.S., Cuba to forge closer ties
The U.S. and Cuba announced on Thursday an arrangement that will allow scheduled air service between the two countries for the first time in more than 50 years.

Last week, the two countries took a further step towards full normalization with the announcement of an agreement to re-establish direct mail service through a transportation pilot program; signed two deals on environmental protection; and launched talks on issues from human rights to compensation for US properties confiscated by Cuba’s revolution.
