Based company recalls tons of fresh ground beef
On Aug. 11, the Texas-based corporation ordered the recall of Kane Beef products, which are packaged as Hill Country Fare ground beef.

Kane Beef initiated the precautionary recall because of the possible presence of a foreign object that’s believed to be an aluminum fastener used to secure packages of ground beef.
3-pound chubs containing “Hill Country Fare Ground Beef” 73% Lean/27% Fat with a Packed On date of 7/26/2016, a Use-By date of 8/15/2016, and bearing case code number 00090170.
5-pound packages of Hill Country Fare ground beef, 73 percent lean and 27 percent fat, bearing establishment No. 337 and a use-by date of August 15, 2016.
Also, “EST. 337” is printed inside the USDA mark of inspection or on the product packaging seam.
No adverse reactions due to consumption of these products have been reported.
The customer’s report is the only complaint that the company has received, according to the news release, and no injuries or illnesses have been reported.
If you purchased any of these products throw the item away or return it to the store where the purchase was made. FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify that recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers.
