Bastian Schweinsteiger Not Giving up on Man United
Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger says he will not play for another club in Europe despite being unable to seal a place in the squad under new manager Jose Mourinho.

United have already made four high-profile signings this summer, with Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and, most recently, Paul Pogba all arriving to bolster the squad Mourinho inherited back in May. “It’s very hard that an opportunity will arrive [for him]”. The German endured an injury-hit first season in the Premier League and was warned by senior United players against following his now-wife, tennis star Ana Ivanovic, around the world while he was recovering.
Meanwhile United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is unlikely to play for the Red Devils this season. “If we have any kind of problem or any kind opportunity, I have a few young players in the academy that I will be more than happy to (give a chance)”. With no emotion in his face whatsoever, Mourinho sarcastically suggests that he expected Bayern Munich representatives to “run to Manchester to bring him back”.
Speaking about the Portuguese boss, Romero claims the team have changed a lot under his guidance. I choose this player, I bought this player, I have to show the world I was right. I’m quite surprised Karl-Heinze is not here to take him back.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has predicted that the club will have “a very quiet week, not surrounded by helicopters” as transfer deadline day approaches.
This week, he even released a statement on Twitter saying United were the only team that could have persuaded him to leave former club, Bayern Munich, and he would not be prepared to play for another side in Europe.
Schweinsteiger started his career at Bayern Munich, before joining United past year and made 31 appearances last season, scoring one goal.
