Bastian Schweinsteiger wants to stay and play despite Jose Mourinho talks

Antonio Valencia has expressed his admiration for the way Zlatan Ibrahimovic has started at Manchester United.

The 2014 World Cup victor announced his retirement from global football in July and Wednesday’s friendly against Finland will be his 121st and last game for his country.

Schweinsteiger says he will keep waiting for his chance at Old Trafford and insisted that he has “no problem” with Mourinho.

“I have had conversations (with the club) and I have no problem with Jose Mourinho, he has explained the situation to me from his perspective”. You will have to wait and see what happens in September, October. “The USA is certainly an option, should it come to that”, said Schweinsteiger.

“The transfer window has already closed (in the MLS), so there’s nothing there”, said Schweinsteiger.

The Lisbon club have been offered the out-of-favour Germany global on a free transfer by Manchester United and are now attempting to convince the midfielder to move to Portuguese football, report the Daily Record.

“I believe in my ability”. Now he’s started off on the right foot here at United and we’re all here to help him when we can.

“I will certainly not stop playing football. But of course, the United States is an option”.

Mourinho isn’t know for making knee-jerk moves on deadline day, but if he feels there is value in a move for Rolan then this may yet go ahead, adding to a clutch of impressive summer transfers for the Portuguese.

“When I think about the Champions League final in Munich (when Bayern lost to Chelsea on penalties in 2012), that was more hard to get over”.

“I am more mature now and know how to deal with certain situations in football”.

“I am looking forward to the evening”, he said.

Though the 27-year-old has asked Sporting to allow him to join the English Premier League champions, Sporting coach Jorge Jesus has instructed the club only to sell if they recruit a high-level replacement.
