Battleborn Beta Arriving on PS4 First, Competitive Multiplayer Revealed

If you’re wondering what all the hype is all about, Battleborn is being developed by the minds behind the critically acclaimed Borderlands series, as Gearbox Software begin a new direction with their first-person shooter which appears to resemble a number of MOBA-style elements. An official start-date was not announced, though it will start in “early 2016”.

The technical test for Battleborn is also out on September 29th at 5 PM GMT.

This isn’t the first time a multiplatform game’s beta has launched first on PS4, as the same was true for Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Battleborn is slated for a February 9 release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Incursion: Teams of heroes must defend their base from waves of AI-controlled minions. “You’ll play through Battleborn’s story mode and competitive multiplayer modes as everything from a laser-sword wielding space vampire samurai and a man-mountain with a mini-gun, to a psychotic gentlemen robot and a… walking, talking mushroom”. Players will also be working together alongside their own minions to lead them to the opponent’s base and then destroy it.
