Battlefront’s last expansion ties directly into new Rogue One film

Star Wars Rebels essentially stole the show with some major reveals and a very well-received screening, but there were so many other great things going on around the convention center like the highly entertaining “Anthony Daniels, Without Protocol” panel and the “Trials of Tatooine” VR experience.

“A blue-skinned militaristic leader, Thrawn emerged as one of Star Wars fandom’s favorite villains in the era following George Lucas” original movie trilogy. Amy Hennig offered an update on the Visceral Games Star Wars game, that has largely been a mystery to this point. There was also a reveal from BioWare about an upcoming expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic, which is titled Knights of the Eternal Throne and is due out this fall.

No release date just yet for the “Rogue One” DLC, though we can probably expect closer to the film’s December release date.

Amidst all the other “Star Wars” video game morsels dropped at Star Wars Celebration-including Amy Hennig talking about her “Star Wars” game in very “Uncharted”-like terms-EA did, of course, find some time to drop some big “Battlefront” news”. It looks like EA’s now making up for that with the announcement of an entirely new DLC pack called Rogue One: Scarif. Characters Jyn Erso and Director Orson Krennic were revealed as the two playable heroes.
