Bay Area Democrats laugh it up during GOP presidential debate
Republican presidential campaigns are planning to gather in Washington, D.C., on Sunday evening to plot how to alter their party’s messy debate process – and how to remove power from the hands of the Republican National Committee. Obama’s approval rating among all adults was 46 percent. The contrast with the Democratic debate, where every fawning question from the media was, ‘Which of you is more handsome and why?’ And let me be clear.

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton has repeatedly said she was not running for Obama’s third term, and has notably broken with the president on several major issues, including the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), a trade deal she helped broker while serving in the Obama administration.
It’s a marked departure from the experience of Obama’s two predecessors.
The party’s early deadline was believed to be one of the factors that pushed Vice President Joe Biden toward a decision on whether to run for the White House.
That, too, is a change. In 2014, vulnerable Democrats largely avoided appearances with the president as they tried to defend Senate seats in six states that Republican 2012 nominee Mitt Romney had carried by at least 14 percentage points.
“If this election is about how we’re going to fight to get nothing done, then I don’t want to have any part of it”, Bush told a crowd in South Carolina.
The poll was produced by the Data Analytics Lab of NBC News in conjunction with Penn’s Program on Opinion Research and Election Studies with data collection and tabulation conducted by SurveyMonkey.
A visible role for Obama has its drawbacks in a polarized political era. Kasich and Bush will be there, but even with their recent remarks, I’d be shocked if they did anything but play to, encourage and amplify the anger that their party has done so much to foment. Oh if only Republicans had been doing so for the last couple of decades, instead of letting Democrats control the media and the narrative for so long. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) say they are running on President Obama’s record.
“About a year and a half ago people were saying I was a lame duck”, he joked at a fundraiser in Chicago Tuesday. “We’ve been flapping our wings a lot”. These “deep contradictions”, as Greenberg describes them, have produced pessimism about the future and great skepticism about leaders in Washington, including President Barack Obama.
There are numerous women serving on the state and local levels and the majority of female office holders in the both houses of Congress and state legislatures are Democrats while Republicans hold the edge in statewide elected offices, according to the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. Among all Democratic leaned voters, less than 1 in 4 are satisfied (23%) or enthusiastic (1%) about how the federal government is working. But Greenberg pointed out that he “presents himself as the most conservative on choice issues, which makes him unacceptable to [GOP moderates], the one group of voters that might have voted for a moderate establishment candidate”. Nor were there questions about her handling, or mishandling of classified materials on her unsecured, private server which she used for all of her emails during her four years as secretary of state.
