Wearing Hillary Clinton shirts and buttons, supporters streamed into the arena at Florida International University.

As Virginia’s governor during the 2008-2009 financial crisis, Kaine cut taxes, maintained Virginia’s business-friendly climate and expanded early childhood programs.
South Florida, where Clinton and Kaine are appearing Saturday, is critical.
Shortly after Clinton made the announcement on Twitter, Kaine tweeted, “Just got off the phone with Hillary”.
“Tim Kaine pick is like your sister announcing her destination wedding is going to be in San Antonio”, wrote director Adam McKay. The Democratic Senator from Virginia is hitting the campaign trail this weekend and will be a prominent topic at the Democratic National Convention beginning next week. According to a Clinton campaign official, the former secretary of state called Kaine this evening to make the formal offer.
In an email to her supporter, Clinton said Kaine is a lifelong fighter for progressive causes and one of the most qualified vice presidential candidates in the nation’s history. The governor has long decried what he has called unfairly gerrymandered district in Virginia that he said lessens the influence of moderates in both parties.
As the process entered July, Clinton scheduled a joint campaign event with Kaine in Annandale, Virginia, where he showed off his bilingual abilities, telling the audience, “Estamos listos para Hillary!” – or “We’re ready for Hillary”. Kaine asked in Annandale, Virginia, as Clinton nodded.
“I enthusiastically applaud Secretary Clinton’s choice”. In a year when the response to Sanders and Trump signals a significant number voters are frustrated and looking for real change, it remains to be seen if they’ll think Clinton-Kaine is the ticket to punch. While Kaine is originally from Minnesota and was raised in Kansas, he has lived in Virginia for the majority of his adult life and is extremely popular there.
“He always finds reasons for hope and optimism in every situation, and he is centered by his faith and his family”. In 2015, Kaine again joined Warner and a group of East Coast senators pushing an offshore drilling plan.
Clinton was weighing two finalists: Kaine and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, a longtime friend of the candidate and former President Bill Clinton. The other senators used to joke with Kaine, Pryor said, by calling him “His Excellency”, the proper way to address governors in Virginia. “This is a proud day for every Virginian”. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2012, and now serves on the Armed Services Committee, Foreign Relations Committee and Budget Committee.
State seeks fast-track appeal of voter ID ruling: Jason Stein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports: With the presidential election only four months away, Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel is seeking to fast-track his appeal of a federal-court decision that scaled back the state’s voter ID law.
A Southern, white Republican is not exactly the future of the party. As a Catholic, Kaine personally opposes abortion, although he’s voted to protect abortion rights.
“He is a genuinely nice person, but Tim is no one’s punching bag”.
Such voters, he continued, “will understand what it means when their efforts to challenge oligarchy have been met by Clinton’s selection of a loyal servant of oligarchy”.
“He’s one of only a handful of people in the country who has executive experience being a mayor, a governor and a USA senator”, McDaniel said, adding that experience is important to the vice president’s unlikely – but most serious role – of serving in place of the president.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has issued a statement lamenting Friday’s deadly shootings in Germany.
“Senator Tim Kaine is an honorable public servant”.
“Though we disagree politically, I have had the pleasure of working with and developing a friendship with Sen”. Users immediately receive an e-mail thanking them for registering for an account on the campaign’s website.

Hillary Clinton (L) has picked Tim Kaine as her running mate in the United States presidential election. “In recent weeks, Tim Kaine has demonstrated his willingness to defend the indefensible, simply to avoid the heartbreak of being left at the altar a second time”.
