Bayern ‘knew two weeks ago’ Guardiola would leave
The Bavarians are also into the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal and the last 16 of the Champions League, where they will face last season’s beaten finalists Juventus.

While preaching a possession-based game, patient build up and a mean defence, Guardiola has altered Bayern’s style this season to be more ruthless in attack.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is convinced Pep Guardiola will coach in the Premier League as speculation continues that the outgoing Bayern Munich boss could replace Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium.
Rummenigge has now suggested that Guardiola has already made the decision – but he will not reveal it.
What has fuelled the Guardiola rumours further is that City’s director of football and chief executive – Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano – were both acquired by City with Guardiola in mind, with the duo working with him at Barcelona.
“What we sought, we found”, Rummenigge said.
‘We didn’t play well. “You don’t play for the coach but with the coach”, he said.
The chairman admits the club will miss Guardiola but believes Ancelotti has what it takes to fill his shoes.
But what makes the 44 year-old so special?
Rummenigge was also full of praise for the former Chelsea boss, who could become only the second coach after Jose Mourinho to win titles in four of Europe’s top six leagues by adding the Bundesliga to his medal haul.
Bony had been City’s number nine during Sergio Aguero’s absence due to injury, but had to settle for a spot on the bench again at the Emirates following the Argentinean’s return to Premier League action.
“Carlo Ancelotti has enjoyed success as a coach everywhere and has won the Champions League three times”, Rummenigge said.
“Pep Guardiola will work here [in England], I don’t know if it is next season here [at City] or at another club”.

The “scoop” was picked up by Bild in Germany who counter the Daily Mail’s angle by claiming it is actually unknown which city Cristina prefers, or if indeed she would even offer her preference to Pep.
