Arsenal need to beat Dinamo Zagreb at home on Tuesday, then hope Bayern win in Munich, just to keep alive their slim hopes of reaching the knock-out stages.

Kingsley Coman grabbed the fourth after the break, Bayern still able to dominate despite losing Holger Badstuber to a straight red card early in the second half.

Barcelona’s victory secures top spot in Group E, and will leave the rest of Europe on high alert to their chances of going the distance in the tournament.

In its 100th home match in the Champions League, Bayern was up by three inside the first 20 minutes, through Douglas Costa, Robert Lewandowski, and Thomas Mueller.

Lewandowski doubled their lead with his fifth goal in five games in the competition, picking up a Coman effort to fire in eight minutes later while an easy tap-in by Müller from an Arjen Robben header that caught the defence completely off guard made it 3-0.

The hosts were dominant in possession from the first whistle, but it was Olympiacos who had the first attempt on goal, as Ruben Pardo dragged an effort wide from distance.

Olympiacos coach Marco Silva feels his players will be facing the best team in the world when they line up against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Of course, Olympiacos are right up there with them, having also won three of their group matches.

In the final round of group games next month, Chelsea hosts Porto in a likely winner-takes-all match, and Kiev hosts winless Tel Aviv.
