The two Manchester clubs, City and United, Chelsea and even Arsenal have been put on alert for an expected announcement from former Barcelona coaching genius Guardiola as to his future intentions following Bayern’s Bundesliga encounter with Hannover on Saturday.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea are also reported to be interested in the services of the two-time Champions League victor as their clubs are not performing well under Louis van Gaal and Mourinho, respectively.
Following Bayern’s win over Darmstadt in the German cup last night, the Spaniard said: “Tonight, I have no answer”.
“Nobody is unbeatable, you never know in football”. Other British teams with manager struggles such as Manchester United and Chelsea FC are reportedly looking to hire Pep as well.
Guardiola wants to coach in the Premier League next season but is highly unlikely to announce his new club, particularly with managers now in place at his potential destinations in England, including Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola joined Bayern in the summer of 2013 after spending four year in Barcelona and one year out with a sabbatical.
His broad plan was to draw as much from the Bayern Munich experience as possible, which included winning the Champions League.
The German magazine Kicker wrote Guardiola’s decision is “an open secret” in European football circles, and said the Marca report was “well-founded”.
Second-tier side Heidenheim also went through after they enjoyed a 2-0 win at third-tier outfit Erzgebirge Aue to reach the quarter-finals for the first time in the club’s history.

The Bavarians, top of the Bundesliga and through to the knockout stage of the Champions League, looked exhausted following a congested run of fixtures and lacked the finishing touch despite being in control throughout the game.
