Baylor enters play with a flawless 7-0 record and is 4-2 against the spread this season, while Kansas State is 3-4 straight up and just 3-4 at the betting window.

Coleman finished with 11 catches for 216 yards, and has a nation-leading 20 TD catches this season, making life a little easier on his 19-year-old quarterback from Stephenville, Texas. On its first play, Joe Hubener threw behind the line to receiver/quarterback Kody Cook, who threw an interception, with a great sideline catch by Baylor defensive back Terrell Burt.

The Hurricanes made the announcement in a letter sent from athletic director Blake James.

The Bears are favored by 18 points against the Wildcats this week and the Over/Under (O/U) is now not available. Facing the Baylor Bears, albeit at home, will probably be the most challenging game of their schedule. He’s only attempted 28 passes, but he has an 85.7 percent completion rate and six touchdowns.

Jarrett Stidham makes his first start in a hostile environment against Kansas State. Two of those four losses came against TCU and Oklahoma State where they played both of those teams very close. Russell had successful surgery and will make a full recovery, but he won’t be helping the 6th ranked Bears on the field this year as they try to make the top four. Baylor comes into the game with a 7-0 record, reaching the mark for the 3rd-time in school history (1980, 2013), after beating Iowa State, 45-27, October 24 in Waco.

Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder, left, talks with Baylor head coach Art Briles, right, before an NCAA college football game in Manhattan, Kan., Thursday, November 5, 2015. The Baylor Bears ground game is averaging 338.2 yards per contest, and Shock Linwood leads the way with 974 yards and nine touchdowns. The last time the Wildcats dropped their first five league games was 1989, when they went 0-7 in the old Big Eight – the first year of Snyder’s rebuilding job. Stidham lived up to the hype, and then a few, throwing for 419 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

The 21 points were the fewest for Baylor in the first half of a game this season. “And, yes, maybe even the Bears’ chances too, as insane as that sounds with a true freshman at the helm, as they held off the desperate and clawing Kansas State Wildcats, 31-24, to move to 8-0 and 5-0 in the Big 12”. “I don’t think the conference needs help, but if that’s an image or perception, then yeah”, Briles said. Devin Chafin has 23 carries for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kansas State – DB D. Shelley (questionable Thursday, undisclosed), LB E. Lee (questionable Thursday, undisclosed), DB N. Jackson (questionable Thursday, undisclosed), DB K. Prewett (questionable Thursday, undisclosed), QB A. Delton (questionable Thursday, knee), DB D. McDaniel (out for season, undisclosed). Stidham completed three passes in three attempts to convert fourth-down situations, including a 38-yarder to Coleman on a fourth-and-1 play that set up the Bears’ fourth touchdown. Stidham was hitting his first reads on practically every play. They are undefeated and have a pretty good looking win against Notre Dame who is #5.
