Baylor Bears vs. Kansas State Wildcats
Did the CFB committee forget what happened in last year’s CFB playoff?

On Thursday the No. 2 Baylor Bears will look to remain unbeaten when they travel to take on a fellow Big 12 school in the Kansas State Wildcats. “I’d be totally shocked if he’s not very composed, very competitive, very intelligent, and very on cue with everything he does Thursday for our football team”, Baylor head coach Art Briles told reporters of Stidham. Despite all the good things it has done, Baylor is now without Seth Russell at QB, as he suffered a season-ending neck injury.
Jarrett Stidham is a pretty awesome quarterback prospect in his own right. “You know a lot of us, myself included, have not really been here before”, Kansas State coach Bill Snyder told reporters of the losing streak. He seems to manage the ball game well and make good decisions.
The Wildcats likely will try to rattle him with blitzes and other defensive chances, even if the Bears are confident Stidham will be able to handle whatever comes his way.
Since the beginning of past year, Baylor is 12-1 SU against Big 12 opponents, while Kansas State is 7-6 SU against in-conference foes. “Depending on how much they can do that, it will determine how many points we need to score”. The country’s fifth-leading receiver, Corey Coleman (962 yards, 18 TDs), will be featured in this game for Baylor.
Many fans assume the Bears fling the ball all over the field.
Baylor has consistently been ranked No. 2 nationally in each of the major polls, but the College Football Playoff rankings knocked them all the way down to No. 6, behind one-loss Notre Dame and Alabama. The junior running back has over 300 yards this season with three touchdowns. He’s already completed 24-of-28 passes this season in relief of Seth Russell with six passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. The last time the Wildcats dropped their first five league games was 1989, when they went 0-7 in the old Big Eight – the first year of Snyder’s rebuilding job.

The Wildcats have lost six straight to ranked teams, and 11 of the last 13. He needs to be the guy who helped to lead the Wildcats to first-half leads against Oklahoma State and TCU. LINE HISTORY: The line has held steady at its opening number of Kansas State +17.
