Wednesday on “The Alan Colmes Show”, Alan spoke with Freedom Watch Founder Larry Klayman about Baylor University President and former special prosecutor Ken Starr, who Klayman has expressed his disappointment with after Starr recently praised President Bill Clinton.

“We will not respond to rumors, speculation or reports based on unnamed sources”. The university is now reviewing an independent report on how the rape allegations were handled.

The university says it intends to fire football coach Art Briles and remove President Kenneth Starr from his post amid questions about the handling of assault complaints against athletes.

Chip Brown, a reporter for HornsDigest.com, first reported Tuesday morning that “multiple sources confirmed” that Starr had been ousted by the Baylor Board of Regents.

Linebacker Tevin Elliot was convicted of raping Hernandez and is serving a 20-year sentence.

Hansen starts with a bang, saying that Baylor has indeed fired Starr and it shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Nearly two decades after heading up the investigation into a presidential sex scandal, Kenneth Starr finds himself involved in his very own thanks to his role as president of Baylor University.

The report details both larger institutional failures in implementing Title IX standards and fostering a culture that would allow victims to come forward (“investigations were conducted in the context of a broader culture and belief by many administrators that sexual violence ‘doesn’t happen here.'”), and football-specific failures.

Last week, an ESPN “Outside the Lines” report detailed more sexual violence allegations against Baylor football players and added the Waco Police Department may have protected a player by locking an incident report in an office and pulling it from the computer system “so that only persons who had a reason to inquire about the report would be able to access it”, according to the report.

Last week the Board of Regents received a comprehensive briefing from Pepper Hamilton on how they handle sexual assault situations.

Football player Sam Ukwuachu was convicted of sexually assaulting a soccer player at the university.

February 12: Baylor announces new efforts to improve how it addresses sexual assault, part of a $5 million commitment.

Baylor University is now the target of a federal lawsuit initiated by a former student.

Baylor has gone 50-15 during the past five seasons under Briles, winning a pair of Big 12 Conference championships and reaching two New Year’s Six bowl games.

Ms. Seay said she would like the regents to release the law firm’s findings or at least a summary in order to show how poor the university’s handling of sexual-misconduct allegations has been.
