After it was sensationally revealed that Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins would not be jumping ship – or kitchens – from BBC1 to Channel 4, the current judges’ positions are in question.

Turns out it may not just be the dough that caused Love Productions to hand over Great British Bake Off to Channel 4 from the BBC.
Reports have been rife that judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry will follow suit and throw in the towel. I work for Love Productions.
“[At the moment I don’t think Mary is] signing anything with Channel 4 and what her colleagues choose to do will be a factor in her final decision”.
The 2013 quarter-finalist from Didcot added: “I would like to think that The Great British Bake Off will return to the BBC at some point, but I’m not sure that will happen – money talks”.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he commented: “She’s very happy with the BBC, put it that way”.
They said they were “very shocked and saddened” to learn Bake Off would be leaving the BBC, adding: “The BBC nurtured the show from its infancy and helped give it its distinctive warmth and charm, growing it from an audience of two million to almost 15 [million] at its peak”.
They continued: ‘The BBC nurtured the show from its infancy and helped give it its distinctive warmth and charm, growing it from an audience of two million to almost 15 [million] at its peak.
According to The Sun, Mary and Paul might be “on the verge of quitting”, and we may also have to wait until 2018 before a new series comes our way (reportedly due to a one year break clause between the BBC and Love Productions).
They ended their statement: “We’ve had the most awesome time on Bake Off, and have loved seeing it rise and rise like a pair of yeasted Latvian baps”.
“In the bigger picture, we are just making bakes in a tent”. We wish all the future bakers every success’.
‘Paul is now in LA and hasn’t had a chance to talk to Mary.
Bookmakers William Hill have Jo Brand odds-on favourite to replace Mel and Sue.
