Bearded hipsters mistaken for ISIS terrorists

A group of Swedish hipsters bonded by their love for growing beards have revealed they were mistaken for Isis terrorists after they were spotted waving a black flag during a photo call.

The group of men, who bear the ironic name The Bearded Villians, were outside the ruins of Bahehus castle in Southern Sweden when two police offers questioned them.

Oh well, perhaps this could be the beginning of the end of the lumberjack trend that has taken over the whole world over the past few years.

“We had a good laugh with the cops, who had to respond to the call, but quickly saw that we weren’t terrorists, out in the middle of nowhere, dressed in formal wear, hugging and laughing”, wrote Fransson. Its website and social media accounts highlight amusing aphorisms about beards, share grooming tips and sell Bearded Villains merchandise.

That’s when two police officers showed up.

When asked about their flag’s similarities to ISIS’, co-leader of the Swedish Bearded Villains chapter John Ekeblad said that while he could see the resemblance, “it was so unreal” that they were raided by the police. “It was a surreal experience”.

He said: “It’s one of the foundations of our brotherhood, that you should not judge others before you know the facts”.

The group of men was milling around, with beards and a flag that has knives and the word villains on it.

“It was a amusing incident but it’s a shame to be associated with ISIS given our charity work”. “It’s the same with beards – each and every day you hear someone say you are a terrorist”.
