Bears coach John Fox won’t guarantee Jay Cutler keeps starting job

Hoyer finished up for Cutler in Week 2 and then started against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

Looking to rebound from an 0-3 start, the Bears returned to practice Wednesday with quarterback Jay Cutler rejoining the team. Despite his sprained thumb, Cutler has been lobbying to practice and would like to play next Sunday against Detroit.

Backup Brian Hoyer, who started Sunday, said he was practicing as if he would start – but that’s not an indication of Cutler’s likelihood to participate against the Lions. But Collins’ replacement is former starter Ron Leary, who lost his job to Collins last season. “For me, it really doesn’t change anything whether he was cleared or not”.

“It’s just about coming out every week and fixing mistakes and getting better”. They have to take each possession separately. “You’ve just got to go out and keep playing until the clock says zero regardless of the scoreboard, and it was good that we did that”. “You couldn’t have a team be in better shape in the National Football League than if you had a serious luxury of having two quarterbacks who could be successful”. Trevathan had surgery this week, and will be out at least a couple more week, presumably.

“You look at the numbers, he brings experience to the table”, Caldwell said. “You know we’ll evaluate it like I said, with all the questions I get with injuries, we’re not playing yet. He’ll be tough to handle”. It was potentially Williams’ second pivotal mistake in three weeks as his failure to get out of bounds on the final play of the game led to the clock running out in a 20-19 loss to the New York Giants in the season opener on September 5.

The video shows Beasley going back to last week’s game against Washington, then to a Martin Luther King Jr. rally and then to the dinosaur age. “I remember meeting him there, obviously through the (NFL) Combine”, Hoyer said. To remain in the green, the Cowboys will have to win their next game against the 49ers, which would put the Cowboys at 3-1 with a 60% playoff chance, while a loss would drop them to 2-2 and a rather unappetizing playoff chance of 36%. Mark Sanchez was there and a list of the quarterbacks that were in my draft class.

Dez Bryant caught Prescott’s first career touchdown pass in the fourth quarter after injuring his right knee on his first catch early and returning to the game. Whatever his status is, until somebody tells me different, I’m just preparing like I’m gonna play.
