Bears receiving corps is shrinking and needs help
Indianapolis Colts defensive back Dwight Lowery (33) chases Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (6) during the first half of an NFL preseason football game in Indianapolis, Saturday, August 22, 2015. But if Bear fans can find a silver lining of hope, it’s that Wilson will finally realize the potential that we all have seen, and the Kevin White loss will be a mere afterthought until his shin can fully heal.

Safety Ryan Mundy was also held out of practice again today with a hip injury and tight end Chris Pantale remains out with an illness.
While he beat around the bush just a tad, I’m going to assume that Bennett would never work for Cutler. “They want the ball, they want to do things the right way”.
While I respect the guy for baring it all and having nothing to hide when it comes to interviews, this one got a little edgy.
“I’ve got a good rapport with Marty, no matter what he says”, Cutler said. It’s a challenge for us.
“[Marc] Trestman was a cool dude, but he lost the guys”, says Bennett.
“They’re excited”, said Cutler.
“All-in-all, I think it’s good work (other than) all the sudden, throw him on the side and say “have at it” – and they’re in the middle of a game”.
Of course, Bennett was referring to his training camp scuffle with then-rookie cornerback Kyle Fuller.
Cutler responds to Bennett comment: In a Chicago Magazine story, Martellus Bennett made comments about his quarterback and leadership, or lack thereof. Bennett asks rhetorically. “Leading the offense and leading the team are two different things”. Sometimes I like Cutty, and sometimes I don’t.
Bennett might be outlandish at times, and he might speak some nonsense and live in a headspace few of us can relate to.
So is Bennett including Cutler in that category?
Cutler said Bennett worked closely with him in Nashville in the offseason and the two have a good relationship. “I think he was trying to say there’s different leaders in every company, and the Bears, we’re not excluded from that group”.
That is the question Adam Gase and John Fox must be asking themselves if Wilson is, as what is very telling, going to be supplanting White as the heir to the number 2 reliever role for this coming season.
