“Bostic, at 6’1”, led the Bears in tackles last season, but did not play in the Bears loss to Seattle Sunday afternoon.

Bostic, the 50th overall pick by the Bears in the 2013 NFL Draft, has started in 17 career games, though he has yet to suit up in 2015, as Shea McClellin and Christian Jones passed the the 6-foot-1, 245-pounder on Chicago’s depth chart.

After getting traded from the 0-3 Bears to the 3-0 Patriots on Monday for a sixth round pick, a fresh start is exactly what the 24-year-old linebacker and special teamer has in Foxboro.

“To be honest, it wasn’t even a back injury (that kept me out during the offseason)”. Bostic graded out as the 34th ranked ILB out of 38 players who played at least half of their team’s defensive snaps at ILB.

“We just do something together – low-key, cook, chill a little bit”.

“It was more of an alignment issue”, Bostic said.

“They had come down to Florida”, Bostic said.

Pace’s directive is clear – get players who fit into what Fox is trying to accomplish and the 38-year-old GM seems to be taking a more proactive approach than a typical National Football League power broker.

“You look at the offseason – guys got traded within like 30 seconds of (it) starting”, Bostic said.
