Beckham Jr. could be suspended for Vikings-Giants game

The Giants offense was the most balanced that it has been all season, against a very good Panthers defense.

During Sunday afternoon’s National Football League game in which the New York Giants fell to the Carolina Panthers, tensions ran high.

Beckham had an ongoing physical and verbal jousting match with several members of the Panthers’ secondary, most notably CB Josh Norman.

“I’m feeling how special it has been and maybe it is for the last time”.

Norman thought Beckham should have been ejected after that hit. Beckham was guilty of three personal foul penalties. They might also have to win next week without star wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr.

While that play sparked the Giants to come back from a 35-7 deficit, Boomer said he wouldn’t blame fans if they think Beckham is a “disgusting mess and an embarrassment”.

Back came the Giants. Although he’s clearly one of, if not the most talented wideout in the league, Norman proved that it’s possible to get into his head and throw him off his game.

Beckham, who dropped a certain touchdown pass on the opening series, refused to discuss his run-in with Norman, skirting the questions by saying the loss was unfortunate. “How can you respect a guy like that, that was ridiculous”, he said. I know you get a little rattled.

“He’s got to learn at some point how to deal with some things on the field”, Coughlin said.

So, what next? Beckham will surely be fined by the NFL. A suspension is a possibility.

Norman was flagged for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the ugly incidents that stretched across three quarters. The Chiefs became the first team in National Football League history to rebound from a five-game losing streak with eight straight wins in the same season.

NEWTON ON ROLL: Newton is adding to his MVP credentials with each game.

“I said Cam! Cam!” The Panthers have already secured the NFC South title and a first-round bye in the playoffs (they would have secured home-field throughout the playoff if the Arizona Cardinals had lost on Sunday night, which didn’t happen). Only the Dolphins won the championship, though.

OK, so it is what it is: The Giants (6-8) need to beat the Vikings and Eagles, and the Redskins must lose to the Eagles and Cowboys, for the Big Blue to make the playoffs. A loss or a Washington win and the Giants are eliminated.

“I can respect the Joker because at least he would give me a sweet contest”.

Rashad Jennings commits a second-quarter turnover that leads to a Panthers’ TD, but then rumbles for a 38-yard TD in the fourth quarter to help the rally.
