Her boyfriend, 28-year-old Nathan Matthews, was convicted of murder and is serving a 33-year term.
Nathan Matthews and Shauna Hoare, who were jailed last month for murder and manslaughter respectively, have applied for leave to the Court of Appeal.
Matthews’ and Hoare’s application to appeal has been sent by Bristol Crown Court to the Court of Appeal where a decision will be taken on whether or not to grant an appeal.
A spokeswoman for Bristol Crown Court said: “We have received a request from both Shauna Hoare and Nathan Matthews”.
Today, a court spokesman confirmed that Hoare had lodged an appeal against all of her convictions and her sentence.
Trial judge Mr Justice Dingemans was in tears as he jailed Hoare and Matthews in November and spoke of the “immense burden” suffered by Becky’s family.
Matthews admitted, and Hoare was also found guilty of perverting the course of justice by hiding and dismembering Becky’s body, preventing her lawful burial and the possession of two stun guns.
‘Becky could be described as a petite teenage girl’.
Speaking of Hoare, he added: “Considering the evidence against her, I can’t believe she is doing this”.
The teenager was suffocated by Matthews, 28, at her home in Bristol on February 19 during a kidnap attempt.
Former TA soldier Matthews, along with Hoare, dismembered Becky with an £80 circular saw in the bathroom of their home in Cotton Mill Lane.
Her remains were then hidden in a nearby shed where they were eventually discovered on 2 March.
‘Their deceit of the family was particularly cruel and unusual and the family’s sense of betrayal by Nathan Matthews and Shauna Hoare is both understandable and justified, ‘ the judge added.
Becky’s father Darren Galsworthy, said: “We shouldn’t have to go through this again”.
“Only this week reality was slowly returning, obviously with a massive void, but we were trying to rebuild our lives”, said Sarah Broom.
