Becky Watts: Shauna Hoare told police that 16-year-old left in a “tantrum”
The ten women and two men in the jury were taken to the semi-detached house where Becky, 16, lived with her dad Darren Galsworthy and step-mum Anjie in the St George area of Bristol. That’s what made me think Becky left in a mood.

Due to the condition of Matthews and Hoare’s modern mid-terrace property – piled high with black sacks of belongings and clutter – the jury were split into four groups of three.
She told the police: “I heard stomp stomp stomp down the stairs…she is not the lightest of foot of people”.
She told police investigating the 16-year-old’s disappearance that when she and her boyfriend visited Becky’s home in Crown Hill on February 19, Becky appeared to leave the house in a mood.
The trial has been told Matthews put on the face mask and overpowered Becky in her bedroom.
Prosecutors allege they then drove her to them home at Cotton Mill Lane, Barton Hill and dismembered her body in the bath before hiding her remains in a friends’ shed at nearby Barton Court.
Hoare said after it appeared Becky had gone, she and Matthews remained until Matthews’ mum Anjie returned from a hospital appointment.
The court heard Donovan Demetrius looked “visibly tired” around the time of Becky’s disappearance and said he had been up all night because of his brother’s “dodgy deal”.
It is claimed Becky was murdered on that day before her body was transported to Hoare and Matthews’ home.
Ms Hoare described to officers how at one point she heard what she thought was Becky running down the stairs and then leaving the house.
“It was as if she was in a bit of a tantrum about something and went out”.
Shauna Hoare, who is accused of killing Becky with her partner, laughed as she answered police questions. Shauna went to the kitchen and pinched a fag. “I went into the living room and Nathan was sat on the sofa and playing with his phone and the TV was on”. I heard stomping and the door slammed.
Prosecutors say his finger prints were found on bloodstains on the door frames.
The judge had earlier warned the jury that the police had completely emptied the house as part of their inquiries and although everything had been returned it may not be in the same position or even the same room as before.
Hoare told police she thought Becky had left her home in a “tantrum”.
When Matthews was interviewed by the same two detectives he gave a similar account. Obviously I didn’t think anything of it. Obviously Shauna came back in and sat on the sofa.
“Obviously I heard the door slam”.
A friend of Matthews, Karl Demetrius, and his girlfriend Jaydene Parsons, have admitting assisting an offender after storing Becky’s body in their shed. “Obviously I was on my phone”.
Matthews denies murder and conspiracy to kidnap but admits killing his stepsister.
Matthews, of Warmley, Glos, denies murder and plotting to kidnap but he has admitted perverting justice, preventing Becky’s burial and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice, preventing burial of a corpse and possessing a prohibited weapon.

Co-accused Donovan Demetrius and James Ireland deny assisting an offender. Both maintain they were unaware of what the packages actually contained.
