Become 8-Bit Serena Williams in Gatorade’s Snapchat Game
Within the game itself players compete as Williams and progress to the next level when the opposition fails to return a shot. So in honor of her ongoing mind-boggling ability to slay on the court – and the start of the 2016 U.S. Open on Monday – Gatorade partnered with Serena to release a brand-new interactive game on Snapchat, an app with which the tennis champ and social media star is no stranger. If Williams wins her 23rd title in September, the game will receive another level for players to try.

DEL POTRO’S BACK: Since winning the 2009 title, Juan Martin del Potro has missed three of the last six U.S. Opens because of injuries.
To coincide with the U.S. Open and tennis pro Serena Williams’ attempt at a record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title this year, Gatorade and TBWA/Chiat/Day, L.A. have debuted a fun 8-bit Snapchat video game that invites you to relive each one of her big career wins, and potentially, her next one.
There are a few details that you will pick up on as you play, including that the outfit and hair look like it did when she played that particular game. The tournament begins today.
