Only promising youngster Borna Coric stands in the way of Aljaz Bedene reaching his second successive ATP Chennai Open final after coming from a set down to beat hometown favourite Ramkumar Ramanathan 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 in the last eight this afternoon (Friday).

There was not much to choose between Coric and Bedene as they traded a break each in the first two sets. After the two shaed two breaks each, first Coric andthen Bedene, the Croat broke Bedene one more time and was up 5-3. he served out the match to become the second teeenager to figure in a Tour finalagainst top seed Stanislas wawrinka on the centre court tomorrow.

“I was struggling in the second set and did not have much energy left”, Coric said.
