Before Endorsing Clinton, Sanders Is Focusing On Economic Issues In Party Platform
The Democrats also said that the Sanders campaign was eager to see Mrs. Clinton take another step toward him on the issue of health care, perhaps by making a new commitment to press Congress to add a “public option” to the Affordable Care Act.

Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., was planning to formally endorse Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton some time next week, Sanders himself has refrained from using such language.
“We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton”, Sanders said in an interview with Bloomberg View’s Al Hunt.
Voters are more satisfied with Hillary Clinton at this point in the campaign than they were with her husband Bill Clinton as when he ran for president in 1992. In a House Democrats meeting, Sanders “stunned some of the Democrats in attendance when he told them that winning elections isn’t the only thing they should focus on”, Politico reports.
Sanders said the plan combined “some of the strongest ideas which she fought for during the campaign with some of the principles I fought for”. Without a unification of the Sanders and Clinton campaigns, Sanders could be staring into a future more in need of revolution and reform than ever.
Sanders’ fights are not fully finished he is seeking more platform changes at a party meeting in Orlando that kicked off Friday but he appears to be winding down this period of denouement, with his endorsement of Clinton now expected to come at a joint event next week.

Clinton, who supported the deal during negotiations as President Obama’s secretary of State and once called it the “gold standard” for global trade, reversed herself during the primary and announced her opposition. “I hope we can reach agreement on them sooner rather than later”, he said.
Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-Ohio, told Sanders that she felt “like a hostage” given his multiple demands for the party’s platform that will be considered at the convention, according to the Democrat who demanded anonymity.
Still, Sanders is agitating for more at Democratic National Convention’s full platform committee meeting in Orlando. Sanders hailed the plan, which his staff had helped develop with Clinton’s, as a “very bold initiative”.
President Obama endorsed Clinton during an event in North Carolina Tuesday, and she is set to campaign with Vice President Joe Biden today.
Warren is reportedly being vetted to potentially be Clinton’s running mate, along with Virginia Sen. Though she did not agree to wave tuition for all students attending public universities like Sanders had, she offered to eliminated fees for students whose families have an annual income of less than $125,000.

But his drift toward Clinton after a brutal primary battle in which key – and for many, deal-breaking – differences were highlighted has dismayed many Sanders supporters who are adamant that Clinton is beholden to special interests and anathema to a bold, progressive vision.
