The world prepares to celebrate the 46th anniversary of a historical mission that occurred last July 20, 1969, the Apollo 11 lunar landing.
In an effort to provide some financial support for the families of astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, “Insurance Covers” were produced.
Neil Armstrong’s first step on the moon was considered as man’s most important accomplishment in the twentieth century. He had meant to say: “That’s one small step for “a” man; one giant leap for Mankind”.
Collins was the pilot of the spacecraft, while Armstrong and Aldrin did their explorations on the moon’s soil, gathering samples and collecting 50 pounds of lunar rocks and soil, the report stated. It was on July 20, 1969 when the Apollo spacecraft made a touchdown on the moon’s surface.
