Begin date confirmed for the revamped 12th collection

This week, Sam also hit out at Simon, saying she “feels sorry” for last year’s winner Ben Haenow because she thinks Simon is planning on making runner-up Fleur East “the next big thing”.

She said: “I miss working with the girls in the band, so would love to work with Rita now on something”.

Bringing Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw onto the panel was a genius decision by the X Factor powers that be, and should hopefully inject some of his wit – and taste for silliness – into the proceedings.

It’s not just the judging panel that’s been given a shake-up this year, and viewers will notice a number of changes.

New recruits Nick Grimshaw – who takes Louis Walsh’s seat – and Rita Ora, who fills Mel B’s shoes, join pint-sized Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell in welcoming a fresh bunch of singing hopefuls to the stage.

New hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs are seen shouting: “Wow! Wow!” The iconic announcer has revealed he has left the show after 11 years shouting out names such as “RAAAACHEL ADDEEDDEEJIIII!”. This time around though, the judges only travelled to two cities – London and Manchester – to see the talent on offer.

The singer isn’t afraid to speak her mind…

With plenty of new faces to match the all-new format, the tantalising spoiler is sure to incite excitement in the show’s dedicated followers. Little Mix is the last act to win the show and then go on to have a big career.

Meanwhile, Cheryl looks shocked and tells one contestant(s): “You cooked up a storm in here tonight”.
