The Bosnian global, who joined Chelsea from Stoke during the close season, said that Mourinho had given the team talk at the hotel prior to the squad’s departure.

Gullit does, however, believe Mourinho, who served a one-match stadium ban at the weekend, can turn things around at Chelsea.
Mourinho’s opposite number Mark Hughes, whose team knocked Chelsea out of the League Cup in a penalty shoot-out last week, admitted that overseeing a game against a dug-out without a manager was a first for him.
The Blues’ Premier League title defence is in ruins after seven defeats from their opening 12 games has left them 16th in the table – just three points above the relegation zone.
“We are behind the manager”, said Begovic, a former Stoke player, following the 1-0 loss at the Britannia Stadium. You can see that from our performances.
“To get that back you get it only by results”.
Kurt Zouma has revealed Jose Mourinho was on the phone to the Chelsea dressing-room at half-time at Stoke – and congratulated them after the game.
“His spirit and his presence is always there”.
“He [Mourinho] prepared for the game in the last couple of training sessions after Dynamo Kiev”.
MANUEL PELLEGRINI HAS hit out at the impatience of Premier League club owners as pressure mounts on Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
Matic was also reported by Goal.com as saying, “I think in the last two games we played good football, but have been unlucky”. “We didn’t hear anything in the dressing room – I don’t know how he could have done”.
Zouma is baffled by Chelsea’s poor form, but did offer a potential explanation.
“We think he’s the right man and he’s someone we respect and we work hard for”.

It was enough to give his side all three points on the night and put a dent in hopes that the Londoners had of recovering from this pathetic start to the season.
