Belgium: 10th suspect arrested in Paris attacks probe
Earlier this week, two people were arrested in Brussels after they were suspected of plotting an attack on New Year’s Eve.

Then on Wednesday, police hit the troubled neighbourhood of Mollenbeck to arrest their tenth terror suspect, Ayoub B.
It said Said S., born in 1985, has been charged with “threatening terrorist attacks” as well as playing a leading role in the activities of a terrorist group and recruiting potential attackers.
Belgian police have arrested a 10th person in connection with last month’s terrorist attacks in Paris in which 130 people were killed. In current circumstances, he said, “we can’t guarantee that we can check everyone”.
It said, there was the threat of “serious attacks that would target several emblematic places in Brussels and be committed during the end-of-year holidays”.
Security concerns continue to plague New Year’s Eve celebrations around the world.
“We’ll have a huge number of police out on New Year’s Eve, including a lot of our new anti-terror force, the Critical Response Command”, he said.
Two other people suspected of planning attacks in Brussels during the holidays were arrested on Sunday.
On November 13, Paris was rocked by brutal attack claimed by Daesh, which France says were planned in Belgium.
“It’s better not to take any risks”, Mr Mayeur said. Also living in Brussels were suspected attack ringleader Abdelhamid Abaaoud and fugitive Salah Abdeslam.
His comments were supported by the Belgian Prime Minister, Charles Michel, who said he respected the “delicate, hard decision” taken.

The French capital also remains on high alert and has abandoned its fireworks display on the Champs-Elysees, although the traditional gathering on the famous boulevard will go ahead under tight security.

Officials in Belgium announced that fireworks and festivities have been cancelled “given information we have received”.
