Ben Affleck Confirmed to Direct Batman Solo Film
The studio mogul touched upon the movie when appearing at CinemaCon, the annual gathering of cinema operators in Las Vegas.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice was clobbered by critics but that doesn’t mean its Batfleck wasn’t loved by the people.
The good news is that the rumors are true as Warner Bros. Given Affleck’s age, it will be interesting to see how a Batman movie featuring an older Batman would hold up. Batman v Superman introduced a number of characters from the Warner Bros. owned DC stable in addition to Batman (Ben Affleck), including Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller).
“It set up a great foundation for our DC slate, which includes at least 10 movies through 2020”, said Tsuijhara.
The actor will star and direct in a new stand-alone Batman film, Warner Bros.
Last October, Affleck spoke to Total Film magazine about the idea of directing and starring in a solo Batman film, describing the idea as being like a “dream”.
Indeed, the studio’s interest in fast-tracking an Affleck-led Batman movie makes ideal sense given that solo Batman movies were a billion-dollar business when Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale headlined the franchise in the previous decade.
Will Affleck’s Batman film explore what happened to Robin, whose death at the hands of the Joker was hinted at in Batman v Superman?

Despite its massive $166.1 million opening weekend – the seventh-biggest of all time – the box office receipts for “Batman v Superman” look like something of a disappointment for Warners.
